- Juliet is apart of the Capulet family, the rivals of the Montagues. Her age is 14 and she runs into Romeo at her family party and they kiss.
- Tybalt
- "Boy, that won't excuse you for the injuries you've done to me." pg. 83
- Romeo is apart of the Montague family, the rivals of the Capulets. His age is unknown. He runs into Juliet at a Capulet party and quickly falls in love.
- Benvolio
- "This backing down isn't good - this submission! A good sword-thrust will sort everything out." pg. 83
- The 'nurse' is a person who helped raise Juliet when she was little. She nursed her so her mother didn't have to.
- Mercutio

- Tybalt is apart of the Capulet family. He is Juliet's cousin and he is a fighter. He picks a fight with Romeo and Benvolio.
- Benvolio is a cousin of Romeo and he is trying to make peace.
- Mercutio is a good friend of Romeo and he is family of the prince and Paris. He gets killed in this scene.
