Testo Storyboard

  • Digestive enzymes are in charge of breaking down food and liquids into smaller molecules so that your body can absorb them.
  • In your stomach this is where food is stored and further broken down by acid and powerful enzymes. The stomach continues to break food down mechanically and chemically through churning and mixing with both acids and enzymes. From there, food moves into the small intestine.
  • From here, food enter the small intestine. absorbing almost all of the nutrients you get from foods into your bloodstream. The walls of the small intestine make digestive juices, or enzymes, that work together with enzymes from the liver and pancreas . Tiny projections called villi are small finger-like projections found inside the inner walls of the small intestine. The villi of the small intestine project into the intestinal cavity, greatly increasing the surface area for food absorption and adding digestive secretions. Anything left in the small intestine moves into the large intestine, which is also known as the colon.
  • Then, I go through In the large intestine ,the final section of the gastrointestinal tract - absorption of water and electrolytes takes place and colonic bacteria complete the process of chemical digestion. The large intestine is also where faeces or stool are formed from the remains of food and fluid combined with by-products of the body
  • The large intestine deposits me in a small pouch where I am held until I leave the body through the anus. When the rectum is full, your body feels the urge to have a bowel movement. The internal anal sphincter relaxes and pushes the stool from the rectum into the anal canal.
