  • *Bob time travels*

  • Wowwwww this is amazing! They are pretty devolved for living like 5000 years ago. Oh, I should probably start doing my project. Well, I know for a fact that they invented the wheel. They made ox-drawn carts with them. This made traveling A LOT easier which helped them with trade. Look there is one right there
  • *Bob gets run over*
  • Ow, that hurt… anyways let us go look for more inventions, shall we?. Ohhh hey look it is a scribe school! Notice how they are- you seriously don’t know what a scribe is!!! Ok ok, a scribe is basically a writer but a writer 5000 years ago. They wrote in a language called cuneiform which is basically made up of little tiny pictures called pictographs. Sumerians were also the first ones to create a written language. They wrote in cuneiform on clay tablets. They carved in what they wanted to write with something called a reed stylus. That is a sharpish tool usually carved from wood. OK LET’S KEEP EXPLORING NOW.
  • Here is our next destination. It is a farm. To help for they used something called irrigation which they also invented. Irrigation is something that helped move water to your crops. They also use something called a plow (insert image here). A plow is used to make tiny little holes in the ground for seeds. It is usually pushed or pulled by an animal. These helped the Sumerians get a surplus of food. Your serious- ok well a surplus is when you have more of something than you actually need, in this case, it is food. Anyways the surplus of food made the population increase. Anyways let’s go find more inventions. Wow, it is so hot I should use my teleporting toothbrush. All I have to do is brush my teeth with it and BAM I am where I want to go. So let us see… oh yes of course

  • This is where Sumerians learned and taught mathematics. Yep, that’s right they invented a WHOLE number system based on the number 60. This helped us in the modern-day world. Their number system helped us with many things such as the 360° in a circle or the 60 minutes in an hour. Anyways, I think this should be enough for my project. Even you earned some stuff too. Lets head back before mom calls us back for dinner. We are having dino chicken nuggets
