- A jewish divorce has to be just as religiously valid as a wedding, so a civil divorce cannot stand alone. The husband has to give the wife a document called a sefer k'ritut, or a get.
- After the get is delivered the woman is free to marry another man. If there is no get the divorce is invalid an any other relationship or marriage is considered adulterous.

- When I was 35 my grandfather, Elijah, died from a heart attack. This was a very devastating experience.

- The funeral starts with readings from various Jewish texts. Then, somebody reads the eulogy, my father read the eulogy at this funeral. Lastly we say the memorial prayer.
