  • What about 15,000,000 for the Louisiana Purchase???
  • What about us!?!?!?
  • "Indian" removal in the South East
  • I don't wanna keep going
  • KEEP IT GOIN' PPL
  • Texas
  • Pew pew pew
  • Welcome to America
  • Why thank you
  • Texas is the WINNER!!!
  • In 1803 the French gave the US more land than they bargained for, and it was a good deal for the US because (1) it was "cheap" and they doubled the size of the country (2) each farmer got their own land so that they could be independent. But, the land had not been explored yet so they didn't know the dangers or the exact boundaries and they sold the land while there were Native Americans living on it without even asking them.
  • Mexican War
  • On the Trail of Tears in May 1835, nearly 4000 Native Americans died on the forced journey from their homes of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina to the west of the Mississippi River. The President thought he was being kind because he paid the Native Americans to go on the Trail of Tears but nearly 1/3 of their members died. The only benefit of this was for the Americans so that they could have more land.
  • Oregon Territory
  • Can you not read? It clearly says 54 40'. OR WAR..... DUN DUN DUN! which do you prefer
  • In 1845 The Battle of the Alamo was a mass murder and many Texans died. The Mexicans did this because the Texans were rebelling because they were unhappy following Mexico's rules and ways. The Texans applied to become part of the US and eventually after 10 years, they were accepted as the United State's 28th state.
  • American Indians and "Westward Expansion"
  • The Mexicans didn't want Texas to officially be part of the United States so believed that they shouldn't be fighting with the US. From April 25 1846 to February 2, 1848, the US and Mexico fought for the land. The US wanted to expand west into the indigenous territory but Mexico owned some of this land, making conflict rise. It was significant for the US to win this war or else the United States wouldn't have expanded or achieved their manifest plan by 1853.
  • You're not even an INDEPENDANT NATION so you don't have a say!
  • ARGGGGGG THIS MEANS WAR!!!
  • stop crossing the Rio Grande, it's our land. AND I MEAN IT!
  • YES WE ARE 😡 GET YOUR FACTS STRAIT!!!
  • In 1840 James Polk told Great Britain to give him the territory from what the US already had to 54 48' (a boundary mark) or else America would wage war on them (he was bluffing but Great Britain believed him and he got the land). This was a big opportunity for the US to achieve their manifest destiny dream so they forced Native Americans to sign treaties and would move them to a reservoir to "get them out of the way". In the end, America did get its boundary to the 54 40' mark.
  • then give me the land
  • Wait what? I don't wanna go to war...
  • I was bluffing MWAHAHAHA
  • From 1860-1890 (the Civil War was going on too) the Native Americans were told to sign a treaty that was a trick and they all ended up stuck in reservoirs. The Americans did 2 things that were very wrong to the Native Americans. (1) General Custer split up his army (which made them very outnumbered when they approached the Native Americans) and tried to attack the Native American Village. (2) The Native American tribes were appalled that the Americans shot thousands of buffalo for fun and didn't use all of the parts; the Lakota were starved and their resources were taken with all the excess buffalo being killed.
  • WHAT ARE YOU DOING? STOP! 😭😞
  • Get off this land, its ours now
