- My name is when Zacharias Jansen and I came up with the first compound microscope and the first telescope in the early 1600s in the Netherlands
- My name is Anton van Leeuwenhoek and I made my own microscope and discovered animalcules which is also known as bacteria. I sent a letter to Robert Hooke about my discovery
- Hooke and Newton fought because Hooke thought that Newton was inspired by Hooke
- Matthias Schleiden a botanist who studied plants under a microscope realized that every plant he looked at was made up of cells
- Theodor Schwann was a scientist that studied animal cells under microscopes and got a special type of nerve cell named after him. He also invented rebreathers for firefighters and realized that all animals are made up of cells. He sent a letter out to other scientists and started to work on the cell theory.
- A fight arose from them because Schwann thought that cells came from preexisting cells and Schleiden thought that cells came from free-cell formation
