- We are having such bad weather because of the children who disobeyed their parents.
- Oh no, maybe it's our fault's because we didn't listen to our parents and did things they told us not too.
- I have never seen snow before!
- We just built our first snowman!!
- What about Boo Radley?
- He believes pleasure is a sin.
- Mr. Avery blamed the children's bad behavior as a result of the horrible weather. The weather hasn't been this cold in Maycomb County since 1885. Jem and Scout thought that it was their faults that the weather was so cold because they didn't obey their parents and caused trouble.
- The first snow fall since 1885 in Maycomb County. Jem and Scout's school called and said they had a snow day. They went outside to build a snowman with the fluffy snow.
- Scout and Miss Maudie talk about a lot of different topics including Boo Radley. Boo Radley's father is a foot-washing baptist. The baptists walked by her house and told her that her and her flowers were all going to hell one day. Miss Maudie loved to grow Azaleas.
- Po-ork? Pork! (Lee.297)
- In the middle of the night, Miss Maudie's house catches on fire. It is completely destroyed and the house cannot be saved. Lucky the fire department arrive in time before it spread to the rest of the houses in the neighborhood.
- Aunt Alexandria had the missionary circle women over to her house. Scout also sat and talked with the women because Jem and Dill went swimming. When Scout joins the women she wears a nice dress and carried the tea to the table for Calpurnia.
- The women in Maycomb County create a Halloween Pageant in the auditortium. They have the kids dress up as different foods that premote the agriculture of Maycomb county. Scout dressed up as a ham in the Halloween Pageant.
