- There was once a miller who loved to tell stories to the townsfolk. He loved telling stories. He had a daughter.
- Exposition
- Conflict
- One day the miller went around saying his daughter was the best girl in town. The king had come to town and heard the miller going around saying his daughter was the best. He had asked how his daughter was the best and the miller replied with(above). Then the king orders his daughter to come to the castle.
- She can spin straw into gold!
- What is so good about her?
- An imp comes and tells her that he can make the straw into gold. For a price, he took her necklace. He then spins the straw into gold for her and leaves. But the King is greedy and wants more. He tells her to do more in a bigger room. The imp comes and says if she gives him her ring, he will spin the straw into gold. He then spins the straw into gold. After this, the king puts her in the biggest room.
- Rising Action
- Give me that necklace and I shall spin the straw into gold!
- The imp came and the girl didn't have anything to give. But the imp said he will take her firstborn child when she became Queen. The girl never agreed yet, the imp started to turn the straw into gold. When she became Queen and had her child, the imp came and demanded her child. The Queen said she will try and guess his name. The imp gave her 3 days.
- Climax
- GIVE ME YOUR CHILD!
- On the first day, she had guessed as many names as she could think of. But none of them were correct. At night, she was awake for quite some time making a list of all the names she could think of. On the second day, she read all the names but yet again, none were right. At night she went on a stroll thinking of names. There she saw the imp singing(above). She was so happy!
- Falling Action
- Tonight, tonight, my plans I make Tomorrow tomorrow, the baby I take. The queen will never win the game For Rumpelstiltskin is my name!
- The imp came and the Queen said random names. The imp said, "Last Chance!!". The Queen replied, "What about Rumpelstiltskin?". The imp was so mad that he stomped his foot so hard it made a hole and he was never seen again.
