- Madam Magloire is a traveler. She visited Paris, France to see the Eiffel Tower 1063ft high. The tower casts a shadow on the ground. She stands at the end of the shadow and meausres the angle of elevation of the sun to be 34.1 degrees.

- The top of the lighthouse is 94.65 meters aways from the dolphin
- After visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa, she then went to the coastal. She then spotted a dolphin in the distance. The lighthouse is about 40 meters tall and the angle of inclination between the dolphin and the lighthouse is 25 degrees. Madame wanted to know how far teh dolphin is form the top of the lighthouse. So she uses sine to find out.
