- Prospero forgives his brother so long as he is given his dukedom back and then releases them from their spell. Ariel is finally freed from his time being loyal to Prospero.
- My brother, you were so greedy for power that you forgot natural compassion and our bond as brothers, and were ready to kill your king—I forgive you, though you’re a monster.
- The spirits are all around playing music and invite Alonso, Sebastian, Antonio, Gonzalo, and their companion lordsto eat, but just before they can eat Ariel appears. The men draw their swords and Ariel mocks them because they can not hurt a spirit and goes on to put them down for having had abandoned Prospero and his defenseless daughter.
- "You are three men of sin, whom Destiny,That hath to instrument this lower worldAnd what is in ’t, the never-surfeited seaHath caused to belch up you—and on this islandWhere man doth not inhabit, you ’mongst menBeing most unfit to live. I have made you mad,And even with suchlike valor men hang and drown" (Ariel pg4).
- Ferdinand and Miranda are given Prosesors blessing so long as Mirandas "virgin not" wasn't broken before they wed. Soon three spirits arrive ready to celebrate the lover engagement but are soon rushed away by Prospero's anger at his sudden remembrance of Caliban's plot to kill him.
- "Then as my gift and thine own acquisitionWorthily purchased, take my daughter. But15If thou dost break her virgin knot beforeAll sanctimonious ceremonies mayWith full and holy rite be ministered" (Prospero pg 1).
- Prospero finally, turns to the stage and says he only did the things he did fir their entertainment. He states the audience should be freed of their own crimes if they forgive him of his, this could only be done if they clap for him.
- "With the help of your good hands.Gentle breath of yours my sailsMust fill, or else my project fails,Which was to please. Now I wantSpirits to enforce, art to enchant,And my ending is despair,Unless I be relieved by prayer" (Prospero pg 1)
