- The leader of the tribe tells Paul he must ride a giant sandworm
- I will permit it to pass over me and through me
- He has called a big one!
- Paul receives the riding tools and attempts to psych himself up to ride a giant sandworm
- And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
- A giant sandworm emerges from the desert. Paul is afraid and recites the litany against fear to himself as he approaches the worm.
- Paul successfully climbs the worm and rides it around the desert
- The Fremen and ride the sandworm back and forth in the desert triumphantly
