- Achilles, a old friend of Odysseus appeared and questioned him as to why he would come down to the underground wondering what kind of daring act he could commit down there
- Sadly Odysseus knew nothing about his son Peleus but he did tell Achilles of the heroism and bravery his son Neoptolemus showed off during the Trojan war where the boy pushed to the front lines and finished the battle without a scratch.
- Odysseus calmed the ghost of his friend down, informing him that he was just around to seek help from the ghost of Tiresias. The godlike Achilles then asked his old friend of what became of his 2 sons above ground
- Many great figures dwelled in the underground that Odysseus did not know in life. Such as the godlike hunter Orion or the judge of all the dead Minos
- Heracles was glad to see Odysseus again but could still not get over the fact that he was trapped in a miserable place like the underground.
- I can't believe I'm stuck down here, its easily the worst place I've ever seen.
