- Yes, Honey. Our land supports every aspect of our lives by providing basic life-support systems and serving as the foundation of our economy and society. It is also used by us, humans, for a variety of purposes such as agriculture, forestry, mining, construction of houses and roads, and the establishment of industries.
- Don't be a dirt bag, protect soil resources!

- You know what Honey, land degradation is occurring at an alarming rate, affecting regions inhabited by more than one-third of the world's population. This occurrence contributes to a dramatic decline in cropland and rangeland productivity worldwide, threatening our food security and environmental quality.
- Honey, land degradation primarily refers to the loss of life-sustaining land resources due to soil erosion, desertification, salinization, acidification, and other processes. The vast majority of the causes are anthropogenic in nature. Some of the most serious consequences include soil nutrient loss and water body sedimentation. Also, the secondary effects are farmland destruction and low crop yield. Lastly, this may result in tertiary effects such as poverty, migration, and social unrest.
