- The Next Day
- September 29- Please read pages 35-50 of the biology textbook.- Answer reflection questions at the end of the chapter.- When completed, bring your work to my desk.
- .......We did this yesterday... ugh why can't science be fun.......
- Alright class, please read the directions on the board and ask me if you have any questions?
- A week after
- What?!! No you have to go to school. Even if you don't like that class, you have to go and do the work.
- Mom, I don't feel like going to school. I don't like my science class or the teacher!
- Yeah you're right. I heard Ms. Tanner's class is fun. They get to do experiments.
- A month into school. Every day is the same thing. Opening our textbooks to a chapter and doing answering the questions at the end.
- Half way through the semester
- I wish we could learn science in a different way. Why do we always have to do book work? I can't learn only from doing book work.
- The whole class started to complain to one another about how we do the same thing over and over again. As days passed by, we did not want to go to class.
- The next day
- Why can't science be interesting?....
- I told my mom that I dreaded going to school because of my science class. She would tell me that sometimes we have to go through things we don't like.
- Present Time
- I wonder if my experiences in science would have been different, would I have enjoyed science.
- I would vent to my best friend about how I felt about going to class. I realized I wasn't the only one. He would feel the same.
- The teacher would make us do homework from the book. We would have to write down vocabulary terms.

- Although my experiences have not been the best, I would like to make a change in the way I view science.
