  • in 494 BCE Plebeians rebel and march out of the city 
  • in 451 BCE they demanded that laws were written down to the twelve tables
  • Plebeians continued to protest for more and more rights 
  • in 367 BCE they demanded that one of the two consuls had to be plebeian 
  • In 287 BCE plebeians  gained the right to pass laws for all roman citizens
  • The plebeians refused to cooperate with the state's military levy as a bargaining chip to secede
  • The Plebeians were unhappy when the RR was setup because they had no say in making laws 
  • After the plebeians gained control over future victimization and humiliation they wanted to gain access to the laws in existence

  • Once plebeians were allowed to become consuls and then go into the senate,they wanted to hold other offices
