- Two days later, Danny and his dad go to Hazell's Wood to put their plan to action, and it works! They collect about one hundred and twenty pheasants. They drop the pheasants off at Mrs. Clipstone's, so if Mr. Hazell is waiting for them at home, they will not be suspected of poaching.

- The next day, Mrs. Clipstone returns the pheasants back to Danny and his father, but then the birds wake up and fly all over the place. A lot of people stop to watch this. This includes Mr. Hazell, and he realizes that the birds are his! He scares them off and they fly in the opposite direction of Hazell's Wood. This is the climax because it is when Danny and his dad ruin Mr. Hazell's shooting party and Mr. Hazell's reputation.

- Oh, what a beautiful day it is!
- Danny and his dad are sad that all the birds got away, but then Doc Spencer checked again, and there were six beautiful pheasants sitting there. Mrs. Clipstone takes two, Sergeant Samways takes two, and Danny and his father take two.

- Danny and his dad buy an oven so they can cook things properly, and not just in a pan. This will enhance their fun and happy lives.
- I like the blue one!
- Danny and his father take a trip to a stream, so they can fish for trout. While they are there, they eat lunch by the stream.
- That night, Danny and his dad invite Doc Spencer and Mrs. Spencer for dinner to celebrate their victory over Mr. Hazell.
