- Pheobe is nice caring and her mom diseperes out of no where sal lost her mom and is the main charcter in the story Ben is the guy that sal kissed and he kissed her SAls dad is the guy who also lost his wife and is the guy that drove them out there and mrs.cavdar is the person that is there since day 5 and was sals moms firend right before sals mom died in the crash.

- the main setting is at phoebes house there it is house and the house is located in Euclid, Ohio.

- in the beginging of the story sals dad picked her up and moved her too Euclid ohio and she said well not everything she said that her father forgot the swimming hole the maple the willow and the trees.
- Ben kissed Sal on the shoulder when they were laying on the bed
- Sal drives a hunread miles to see her moms grave but then the cops find her and she goes back to the hostpital were gram died and also tells us the story of how her mom died
