- Circe gives Odysseus a warning in her castle about the things he must do in order to get home, but she also, and most importantly, tells him of the things to look out for, like Charybdis and Scylla. She also warns him about the Sirens and what to do when he gets near them.
- Odysseus did what Circe told him. He put wax in his men's ears, had them tie him to the mast of the boat, tied him tighter when the grip loosened, and listened to the Siren's song and lived to tell the tale.
- Odysseus sails away from the Sirens unscathed, but little did he know, he would have a lot more troubles, and death, later in his troubled journey home to Ithica.
