Nice to meet you! My name is Emily Anderson, and I am 32 years old white female. I grew up in a middle-class family suburb area, and to be honest, I love my hometown.
I am currently an FBI agent who specializes in counterterrorism and intelligence gathering.
It took a lot of work to get to where I am right now, but I have to say, it was worth it. I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Georgetown University.
I am a former police detective with 6 years of experience in a major metropolitan police department. Good ol' days...
You know, as a kid I always had a strong sense of justice and a desire to make a positive impact on society. After completing my degree in Criminology, I joined the local police department as a patrol officer.
This is the police station in which I worked for 6 years!
During my time as a detective, I worked on a wide range of cases, including homicides, drug trafficking, and organized crime. I gained valuable experience in conducting investigations, analyzing evidence, and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.
With the motivation to tacle more complex and high-profile cases, I decided to apply to the FBI. And I passed the rigorous selection process! Which included an intensive background check and a series of challenging interviews. My sharp investigating skills and my ability to work under pressure made me an ideal candidate for the Bureau.
As an FBI agent, I specialize in counterterrorism and intelligence gathering. I am known for my exceptional attention to detail, strategic thinking, and dedication to protecting national security. I work closely with a team of agents and intelligence analysts, sharing information and collaborating on investigations.
Some of the activities that I do on a regular basis and enjoy are conducting investigations, surveillance operations, training and professional development, case analysis and research, collaborative work, fieldwork and operational assignments, and many more!
An activity that I do not greatly enjoy and puts me at risk for harm is undercover infiltration.Going undercover to infiltrate criminal organizations or illegal groups is a daily activity that puts me at risk for harm. Operating under a false identity, I work closely with dangerous individuals involved in many different crimes.
Overall, I love my job! And I would do everything again if I could relive my experiences. This job makes me feel alive, given how every day you wake up not knowing what to expect. It is priceless... Thank you for your time!
