In 1791, Louis XVl finally agreed to a new constitution that limited his powers over the people. After a while, the king ran away because he feared for his future. When he got caught, he was beheaded and the radicals went into power. There was also another group called the conservatives who were against the french revolution. Moderates on the other hand agreed with the thoughts of the revolution.
