  • WHOOSHHH
  • Year: 2020 BC (before covid)
  • Magic Time Portal
  • My name is James Nance Garner, the vice president of Franklin D. Roosavelt. I can't explain how I'm here, but I have a very important question. The fate of the nation is at risk.
  • We are about to instate the New Deal in 1933, but before we do I need to make sure that it actually works and doesn't throw our country into more disaray.
  • You there! I need your help.
  • Sure! The name's Trent. What do you need help with?
  • Ok, what's your question?
  • Is that a magic portal? Meh ... oh well.
  • Well basically, relife involves helping people at the moment, such as creating jobs and welfare. Recovery is using the government to help fix the economy and end the depression. And finaly, reform is creating laws and structures that will help people and society in the long term
  • The New Deal acts focus on the 3 Rs: Relife, Recovery, and Reform.
  • Ok but what exactly do you mean by that? I'm not in Mr. McIntyer's class so I haven't learned what those mean.
  • Ahhhh, I see. Let me see how I can help.
  • So what exactly does the New Deal do?
  • Why are we here?
  • Wow! Really?
  • Convinient Theater
  • Yah! As you probably know, in 1933, there were 12, 830 unemployed people in the US. However, by the time you reach 1936, that number drops all the way down to 9,030!
  • You see that road? And those buildings over there? These were all built by people who were hired through the Work Progress Administration. They even suported the theater behind us to help artists.
  • But that's not all that it did. Like you said the New Deal also provided relife for U.S. citizens
