- Hey! Are you gonna clean that up?
- Uh why should i, it's just an empty water bottle, its small it doesn't really matter, nobody cares if I don't pick up one thing
- Well it's a big deal because everyone could thing that, and the more and more that adds the blogger and bigger the problem gets
- The world is huge. Just a little bit of garbage won't change anything, plus it can go to landfills or even flow into the ocean. Problem solved.
- That's really sad, I had no idea that was such a big deal. Not only is it affecting the earth and the people on earth, but all the beautiful animals.
-  That's what you may think, landfills are becoming overfilled, there is no more room for all the garbage people throw away. And litter into the ocean is nowhere near a solution. 60% of pollution in water is from litter. For example almost 100,000 animals in the sea a year drown from litter in the ocean.
- exactly , litter may seem small, like even a small candy bar wrapper could be one of those things that seem like nothing but it all adds up to something that is bigger than what we think is possible.
- But then what am I supposed to do, or are we doomed?
- Oh.. haha yeah you're right
- Attending cleanup days, increasing the numbers of public disposal bins, and even imposing laws and regulations. But maybe you should start simple, and pick up that water bottle.
