- ¨you could have died out there
- this image shows an example of the theme because it shows how Brandon and his dad was trying to escape the stair well and he couldnt catch his breath barely. He thought he was going to die.
- Reshmina (pages 111-112)
- this is an example of the world trade center on fire and burning papers flying down from somewhere above Brandon. according to a whole in the word it states that ¨Brandon stood on the broken edge of the world trade center, looking straight out into the bright September sky. Strong winds whipped his hair around his face, and burning papers fluttered down from somewhere above him. Exposed electric wire sparked in the sheared-off walls. I feel like this goes good with my theme because at the end Brandon made it out alive, him and Reshmina.
- Reshmina (page 132)
- the image and speech helps prove that the theme is accurate because this is a rescuer and Brandon talking about what happened during the 9/11. The rescuer asks Brandon ¨what were you doing out there? you could´ve died.¨ the reason why Brandon was out there was because he was trying to get to his dads work area because he works at the world trade center. Brandon was speaking to the person because he was a person who survived from that scary day.
- Reshmina (pages 146)
- this image is an example of Reshmina and her little brother about to get hit by an helicopter. According to the chapter Kochi it says ¨Pasoons grip on Reshmina slipped, and she fell a few centimeters before he caught her again. The american helicopter kept hovering right behind her, Reshmina knew that with just one squeeze of the pilots trigger finger, bullets would tear through her and her brother¨ (Gratz 111).
- this picture shows an example of Pasoon leaving Reshmina to join the Taliban. The text states .. ¨Reshmina nodded. She had known this day was coming, but a part of her wanted to pretend things would never change.¨ This shows that Reshmina will be upset about her brother leaving.
- this picture is and example of a trail because Pasoon and Reshmina were walking to the Taliban. Pasoon completely dissapeared, Reshmina was very scared and terrified as if she lost Pasoon or something.
