  • Levi was eating parmesan cheese one day but the cheese happened to give him a virus. The virus entered through his mouth while he was eating it and then began to make its way towards his stomach.

  • Levi's second line of defense, after mucus, cilia, and saliva, is his white blood cells. As, the virus had made it's way through his body, his white blood cells, that are normally circulating through his blood, begin to attack by entering his body's tissues.

  • The neutrophil was the first cell to respond to the virus Levi contracted through parmesan. It sends signals that alerts the other while blood cells to respond.

  • The T cell enters after being signaled to by the neutrophil and began to attack the virus. There were also Basophils, the WBC that is best known for it's role in asthma, that helped fight the virus. Eosinophils also come along and help fight, they release histamines that can raise Levi's body temperature so call the other WBC's to work.

  • The B cell is responsible for immunity. The B cell marked and remembered the parmesan virus and now Levi has some immunity to it. HIs immune system will now remember the attack from parmesan and will be able to prepare for another attack in the future. The monocyte then rolls in from the tissues and cleans up all the dead cells.

  • The white blood cells that fought off the parmesan virus only lived 1 to 3 days so Levi's bone marrow is continuing to produce new one. Now Levi continues to eat parmesan cheese, despite many people telling him to stop.
