Testo Storyboard

  • Exposition
  • We will definitely win, we are just so much better.
  • I can't wait for the game today
  • Rising Action
  • Without Aaron, there's no way they could possiblily win
  • But if he does come, we don't have Thomas so what are we going to do?
  • Rising Action
  • The skies were flourish as clouds filled the sky. My dad dropped me off 15 minutes before school started. As I approached the entrance, I spotted my friends seated on a grand concrete slab that sat awkwardly under the marquee sign that displayed the date and ongoing plans for the middle school. As I sat down, we discussed about the upcoming game we had today. What game were we talking about? It was a basketball tournament called, March Madness, in which homerooms played agaisnt each other.
  • Climax
  • During homeroom, we tried to discuss the plan we had for our game. We had our star player Luis, and two other players, playing the whole game. Our teacher would subsitute two players every 4 minutes. There were rumors that their star player, Aaron was unable to play due to tardiness. This was good news as one of the players who was crucial to winning our last game, Thomas, was also unable to play. With all of this information, our class was sure that we would win. That nothing could go opposite.
  • Falling Action
  • The bell rang at 12:26 p.m. as students rushed outside. They gathered near the gym where two lines were formed and at the front supervisors checked the names of which students could enter the gym. The wait felt tedious as I was eager to play already. When the sole of my shoe touched the wooden floors of the gym, I could feel something was wrong. From the other side of the gym, I could see Aaron already warming up. Although they were only rumors, we had fully believed that he was not going to play. However, I snapped out of thought and grouped with my teammates.
  • Resolution
  • 5 of our starting players gathered at tip-off against the other 5 with the referee at the middle. Luis got tip off and the ball was in the hands of one of our players. However, the ball was stolen out of their hands in a matter of seconds by Aaron. He dribbled to the rim and made a layup. The game continued like this, Aaron was just too fast for us, and we could not get open for our teammates to past the ball. Near the end of the game as Aaron attemped another layup, Luis fell to his knees. What we thought was an effortless win, was a unspiraled disaster. Our classroom lost that game, 6-22.
  • The walk back to the classroom felt disconsolate. The windows were shrouded behind pastel blue curtins and the lights were as bright as our mood. Our pride was ruined, we had not furfilled our expectations. My mind started to look for people to blame, but, in the end, it was all around a team loss. Our teacher let us comptemplate on our loss for the rest of the day.
  • The day after the loss, I headed straight towards practicing. There were many skills I needed to strengthen and learn. From becoming faster, getting open for a pass, and defending. Although my class had lost that day, I gained the knowledge of what was necessary to improve my basketball skills. I learned that you should always expect the worst and never get too confident.
