Testo Storyboard

  • Citizens listen to a figure head
  • “Let him be chief with the trumpet-thing.”
  • Illusion of the perfect Utopian world
  • "Ralph did a surface dive and swam under water with his eyes open..."
  • Fear is used to control citizens
  • "Ralph made a step forward and Jack smacked Piggy’s head."
  • All the boys on the island elected Ralph to be the leader. Ralph makes the rules and wants everyone to follow them without putting up a fight because he knows what is best for everyone. Some of the boys on the island though are fed up with the idea of this "chief" and don't want to follow the rules and make arguments.
  • It looks like the perfect paradise island at first with no parents and all the freedom in the world. There's a lagoon and seems like the perfect vacation. But, in reality they need to survive and don't know how to without their parents. They are stuck there and need to take care of each other in order to survive. They play around on the island at first and don't understand the seriousness in the situation.
  • Jack uses fear in order for everyone to follow what he says and to do what he wants. His choir group only listens to him because they fear him and what he could possibly do. A lot of the boys are scared of him because he has this angry side to him which makes him rude. This makes a dystopia because they are fearing him and scared a lot of the time, which isn't an "ideal, fun, exciting situation."
