- ACT 2, SCENE 3 Romeo states,“My generosity to you is as limitless as the sea,and my love is as deep.” This is an example of simile because a simile is a sentence that uses like or as. Also romeo compares his love to something but really he want's her to know that he loves her very much.
- ACT 2, SCENE 2 Romeo states,“Lady, I swear by thesacred moon above, the moon thatpaints the tops of fruit trees with silver-” this is personification because he says that the moon paints things but that is not something that the moon can actually do. what he really meant is that he promised it on the moon.
- ACT 2, SCENE 4 Mercutio,“Oh, poor Romeo! He'salready dead. He's been stabbed by awhite girl's black eye.”this is foreshadowing because romeo will die later on and mercutio says it. and he says that because he wants him to die for trying to be with a capulet.
