  • The story starts with a wedding celebration in one of the mountain areas in the Philippines. This shot focuses on the bonfire. From this shot, houses can also be seen at the back. It can be determined that the village is busy.
  • On his wedding night, Awiyao decided to visit his previous wife, Lumnay, at his home. Their seven years of marriage were not enough to produce an offspring. However, in order for Awiyao to be considered a man in his culture, he must have a child. As a result, Awiyao decided to marry another woman named Madulimay. This shot focuses on Lumnay to emphasize her emotions. The distance between the two characters shows that the conflict is being introduced.
  • Lumnay was offered a house and a field by Awiyao but she declined. Lumnay simply asked if she could keep her beads since this reminded her of Awiyao's love for her. In this shot, the back of Awiyao is shown. This shot emphasizes Awiyao giving the beads to Lumnay.
  •  While they were talking, they heard a voice calling Awiyao to go back to the celebration. After giving the beads to Lumnay, Awiyao decided to leave to join the celebration. This shot emphasizes Awiyao leaving the house.
  • Lumnay decided to go to the celebration and confront the crowd for she was suddenly filled with the strength to fight for her feelings. As she approached the area where the wedding dance is being held, the brilliant lights stopped her as if she realized something. With that, she decided to just get away from the celebration. This shot focuses on Lumnay looking at the celebration. This emphasizes her emotions as she look at the people.
  • Lumnay ran and followed a trail leading away from the village. She ended up crying while thinking about her future life without Awiyao. This shot only shows Lumnay to emphasize her loneliness and sadness.
