- We came out hot against Jefferson, playing our best baseball of the year and feeding off the energy from the crowd! We got the early lead 3-0 in the first inning and I felt great on the mound.
- And with one swing of the bat, our season was over. He hit a towering home run that cleared the centerfield fence by over 50 feet.
- They ended up tying it 3-3 in the next inning but after that, it was a stalemate.
- After 5 innings, I was done pitching. I did the best I could and put us in a position to win, being up 3-2 at the time. Now it was up to our relief pitcher to seal the deal.
- Good job!
- It was tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 8th inning, and their best batter was up to bat. Every single one of the 2 thousand people there was on their feet. Anticipated a story-like ending to a great game.
- We were devastated as the other team celebrated behind us.
- You guys played great! We showed everyone what we are capable of for next season!
- Our season was over but we knew were in the game the whole time and probably should have won. We were proud of our efforts and were ready to come out strong next season.
