- Physical Traits: 16 years old Handsome , best athlete in school and almost perfect.

- Character Traits: Quite, peaceful,loving, shy, loves nature.
- Physical Traits: Very tall bespectacled timid boy.
- Gene is one of the main characters in the story. The story is coming from his point of view.
- Brinker Hadley
- Character Traits: Self - defensive, serious, manipulative.
- Physical Traits: Aggressive, Conservative, and very stolid.
- Finny's relationship with Gene is not complicated Finny. Gene is Finny's best pal and roommate.
- Leper's relationship with Gene is normal but, Leper is a little jealous of finny with the relationship he has with Gene. He wishes to have a closer relationship with Gene.
- Brinker's relationship with Gene is not really good Brinker used his manipulative skills on Finny to get the trust of Gene.
- Quote: “I’ll bet you knew all the time that Finny wouldn’t be back this fall. That’s why you picked him for a roommate, right?... You fixed it,” he smiled widely. “You knew all the time, I’ll bet it was all your doing.”
