Storyboard Descrizione

4.5b Women have not always had the same rights as men in the United States and New York State. They sought to expand their rights and bring about change. Students will investigate people who took action to bring about change, such as Amelia Bloomer, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Susan B. Anthony, Matilda Joslyn Gage, and Elizabeth Blackwell. To complete this activity, your group must research the particular activist you were assigned, including their contributions and what they fought for. Using the information you collected, create a storyboard of your assigned activist. Following the activity, each group will share their storyboard with the class.

  • Hi! My name is Elizabeth Cady Stanton! Throughout my life I fought for many things, including the abolishment of slavery.
  • I did this through my involvement in the Civil War to pass the 13th Amendment.
  • I also fought for Women's Rights throughout my life and helped write the Declaration of Sentiments! My efforts helped grant women the right to vote!
  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
