There was only one problem, none of the other animals respected him back.

Anansi thought and remembered that Mr. tiger was the most respected animal in the jungle. he asked Mr tiger how he could get his respect. he said to get Mr snake, the grumpiest animal in the jungle

Anansi studied Mr snake's every move. what he ate, where he went, and when he slept.

Anansi tricked Mr snake and made him stuck to a pole by tying him to it to see if he was longer. he took him to Mr tiger.

When Anansi got there Mr. Tiger told Anansi he had his respect but Mr. Snake was embarrassed and sad so Anansi let him go and told Mr. Tiger he didn't want his respect if it meant hurting someone's feelings
