  • Trust vs. Mistrust is the first stage of Erikson's stages of Psychological development which is from birth to 1 years old. Infants should receive love and care during this stage in order to gain trust however failure will lead to the mistrust of others. In this image, the mother and father seem to be taking great care of the baby taking into consideration of the baby's needs.
  • Autonomy vs. Shame is the second stage of Erikson's stages of Psychological development which is from 1 years told to 3 years old. Toddlers during this stage development confidence, through encouragement, to the ability to care for themselves. However overly protective parents may initiate doubt in shame in the toddler as shown in the image of the mother scolding her daughter for going outside to play.
  • Identity vs. Role Confusion is the fifth stage of Erikson's stages of Psychological development which is from 12 years old to adulthood. Adolescents during this stage are trying to find who they are and search for the identity. Inability to do so will result in a lack a sense of who they are. In this image, the teen is trying to figure out what style best fits her and decides to dye her hair to a color of her choice.
