- Mathilde was sad because she thought she should be rich, but she was middle class.
- Conflict Introduced
- One day, she and her husband got invited to a party. She didn't have anything to wear so her husband suggested she borrowed some jewelry from her friend.
- I want to go, but I don't have a dress to wear and I have got no jewlery. We don't want people thinking we are poor!
- Just borrow a necklace from your rich friend, and I will by you a new dress with the money I've been saving for a gun.

- She went to they party and had a very good time
- That's a very necklace.
- Thanks, I borrowed it from my friend
- Climax
- Don't worry! I'll go look for it. Everything will be fine.
- I lost the necklace! What will I do?
- Falling Action
- Finally, after a long time of borrowing money and hard work, we've finally replace the necklace! But now we are poor.
- My friend will be so happy that we got her a new necklace!
- Ten Years Later
- Resolution
- Oh, that was a fake! You wasted your time and money replacing necklace that was made of glass!
- I lost your necklace that you lent me 10 years ago. The one I returned wasn't the original.
- When they got home, she realized she had lost the necklace. Her husband went out to look for the necklace but he never found it.
- They had to sell there house and move into a much small home and they had to work hard and borrow money, but they had gotten a new necklace.
- Ten years Later she ran into her old friend, who had lent the necklace. She told her friend the truth but it turns out she had wasted her money. She probably felt like an idiot.
