- Woah! I'm back again. I'll tell you about what happened in my last life. I remember that the volcano erupted and spewed magma out. The magma cooled on the surface and different crystals formed . This is known as crystalizations and I was born as an extrusive igneous rock.
- I was attacked by the harsh atmosphere. Weathering slowly broke me down, into smaller pieces.
- Oh no!!! I fell into the river. The running river transported me and I became smooth in this process called erosion.
- I was washed to the bottom of the ocean, layers of sediments stacked on top of me and by compaction and cementation which is a process called lithification. I changed from particles of sediments to a sedimentary rock. This process takes a million years.
- After millions of years, I have sunk into the ground. Extreme pressure and heat have surrounded me and my mineral composition, texture, and form changed. I was being pressured with the rocks around me and I am now a foliated metamorphic rock. I feel like I'm melting...
- Additional heat and pressure, causing me to melt into magma. I am now one with the magma, a liquid form, as the heat has melted the mineral compounds in my body. If the magma cools and crystallizes, I would solidify back to an igneous rock!
