- 7:00 AM- "In the kitchen the breakfast stove gave a hissing sigh and ejected from its warm interior eight pieces of perfectly browned toast, eight eggs sunny side up."
- 10:00 AM- "The sun came out from behind the rain. The house stood alone in a city of rubble and ashes.This was the one house left standing."
- 12:00 PM- "A dog whined, shivering, on the front porch. The front door recognized the dog voice and opened. "
- The clock tells everyone to wake up while the stove and oven are cooking up food. The house doesn't realize that nobody's their, and it keeps running like normal.
- 2:35 PM- "Playing cards fluttered onto pads in a shower of pips. Martinis manifested on an oaken bench with egg-salad sandwiches."
- The rest of the city has been burned to ashes and this was the only house left. Even though the people inside fled the it's still running automatically like normal.
- 5:00 PM- "The bath filled with clear hot water. The dinner dishes manipulated like magic tricks, and in the study a click."
- The dog came to the house because it once lived there and whined at the door. The door opened and the dog came inside skinny and and covered in sores when it was once huge and fleshy.
- 10:00 PM- "The wind blew. A failing tree bough crashed through the kitchen window. Cleaning solvent, bottled, shattered over the stove. The room was ablaze in an instant!"
- The house was abandoned immediately and all the stuff they were using was left out. They were eating sandwiches, playing card, and listening to music.
- The house still running like normal and filling the bath and cleaning the dishes even though there were still no people in the house.
- The wind was blowing so hard that a tree branch fell and knocked over cleaning solution and caught on fire. The last house in the city caught on fire and now all of the houses were burned to their ashes.
