- We shall now tax the Third Estate
- The King called open a general's estate meeting in which they were to discuss taxes, debt, and others. The First and Second Estate decided on vote by order, while the Third Estate said vote by head. They then decided to tax the Third Estate.

- After the General's Estate meeting, the Third Estate was furious and left to a nearby tennis court. There they made the Tennis Court Oath and pledged to do things such as the Declaration of Rights. They also stopped Louis' escaped from France and limited the Catholic Church's power.
- We shall pledge to make a new constitution and overthrow the king!
- Run for your lives, they are after us!
- During the time of the French Revolution, people who left France were called emigres. There were two main political parties of the National Convention called Jacobins and the sans-culottes. In the assembly, they also made the Constitution of 1791
- Come back here, you traitorous scum!

- After the revolution, during the reign of terror, Robespierre was the reason for mass terror in France. The Committee of Public Safety was made to capture and kill supposed traitors. The Directory soon replaced the current gov't and it was a moderate one.

- Soon after the Directory, Napoleon soon became the Emperor from 1804 to 1815. He came to power because of the coup d'etat and made the Napoleonic code to improve French life. He was the consul before the emperor and made lycees for men to study. However, he lost the Peninsular war and battle Waterloo which caused the fall of his empire

- After his defeat, at the Congress of Vienna, Metternich proposed ideas like the balance of power and legitimacy. Conservatism was the ideology that was in power in most European countries at the time. However, due to Nationalism, some countries rebelled against monarchies for their freedom.
- We should strengthen the countries around France to stop future revolutions!
