Testo Storyboard

  • "Where is he."
  • Frederick Douglass was a slave who was born on a plantation and stayed there until he was around the age of becoming a man; then went to live with Mr. Covey to be broken because he could read and think for himself. Mr. Covey was a slave breaker. His job was to work slaves until their breaking point. He treated his slaves very cruelly. Douglass was whipped often at his stay with Covey.
  • Douglass was sick and Covey asked where he was and a field hand told him, so Covey kicked and hit Douglass for stopping his work at the fan. He was sick, and Covey asked where he was. A field hand told him, so Covey kicked and hit Douglass for stopping. He ran away, but when he returned, Covey was mad, so he tried to tie him up, but Douglass resisted. They began to fight and fought for hours and hours. The fight was grueling, and they finally let go, and Covey never touched him again
  • For the remainder of Douglass's stay with Covey, he didn't even put a finger on Douglass. In conclusion. Even if you’re in an awful situation, you can help yourself out of it. Like Douglass, he beat Covey in a fight and was never whipped again. Whether he had to be violent or not, he got himself out of the situation.
