- Hello kids! My name is Tom and today, I'll show you how we get the water that you drink every single day. I hope you will enjoy my presentation!
- First, we get water from lakes and rivers and we check and remove any objects or creatures that were in the water.
- And then, we run that water through lots of types of water filters, which stops the stuff we can’t take out from going into the water you drink.
- After that, we use many chemicals to remove the tiniest of germs or other unsafe things and afterwards, to be safe we use another filter.
- Finally, we test the water for any dangerous or general problems with the water, a PH test to make sure that the water isn't too alkaline or acidic because too much of any is dangerous and a final general test to really make sure your water is safe.
- So kids like it or not that is how we make water safe, so you can drink it. Now you can feel more informed about how you get your water and hopefully you can feel safer about the water you put in your body.
