- I don't know what has become of me. Murder has filled my mind because I want power. I can't do it though. I am one of the king's men, and he has treated me so kindly. Also, if I murdered Duncan, a lot of chaos would arise in Scotland.
- You coward. Stop going back and forth on whether or not you should kill Duncan. I am more manly than you. I would even kill my own baby to have the chance that you are being offered.

- I would have done the murder myself, but Duncan looked too much like my dad. Why did you bring the daggers back?
- Don't worry about it. Thinking about it will only make you stress.

- We have got to skip town. Whoever killed Duncan might be after us, and I do not want to be next.
