- Matilda, is a very mature girl growing up in an abusive family. She realizes that she has mind powers later on and uses that to treat people the same way they treat her. It's a part of the fantasy and comedy genre, the film itself is based on a children's literature published back in 1988.
- Matilda is a fun and satisfying film to watch. Watching a girl get her revenge on bullies and abusive parents is undoubtedly satisfying. It has lots of fantasy elements in it, so if you don't like fiction or fantasy things, this film is not for you.

- My favorite parts of this movie are her revenge, and some ridiculous dialogues. It presents how corrupted and neglective parents can be. For example, her family is involved in an illegal business so they fled the country and just left her behind.
- The characters' personalities are sometimes too unrealistic. Matilda seems a lot too mature for a 6 years old child. The film portrayed antagonists as iniquitous, which is intended to lift the girl up and make her look better.
- This has turned into a film that heavily relies on CGI for effects and all powers the protagonist use. It can be a decent movie you watch to kill time.
- I give it a 7 out of 10, it is indeed an interesting film to watch. Due to the film being based on a children's literature, the movie is targeted to kids but not adults so the plot is not very complicated. It can be dull for adults to watch.
