Hello, Sam your results from your blood glucose test 240. Your blood sugar ran high on all three test. Have you notice a change in your physical performance, vision, sensation, or skin?
Diabetes is not affecting me!
You have diabetes. A disease caused by glucose not absorbed into cells due to insufficient amount of insulin produced in pancreas needed to assist with glucose absorption in to the cells.
Dessert never tasted so good!
I cannot have diabetes, I am only 36 years old. What does that even mean. Is there medicine or a cure.

Diabetes can happen to anyone. The cause is usually unknown but related to sedentary lifestyle, genetics, fat distribution. There are three type of diabetes (DM I -no production of insulin, DMII -insufficient production of insulin , and gestational (pregnant women)

With appropriate dosage of insulin, blood glucose monitoring, diet, and exercise. You can have a great life. It very important to manage blood glucose level. Not monitoring can lead to severe complications later in life

What are going to do Dr. Jazzy. Sam, "I am going to place you on medication, meal plan, and exercise program. I want you to monitor your blood sugar throughout the day and write down any change you notice within your body. I will see you in three months. Okay, Dr. Jazzy

The desserts were amazing, I am going to take some home. I feel a little lighted and dizzy, its probably from me standing up so quick to come order more dessert. I missed my 3 month appointment with Dr. Jazzy it is probably just nothing.

NO, I wanted to be normal like everyone else and look where that got me in the hospital. Sam things will have to change diabetes is a series disease that effects every part of your body.
Sam everything is going to be fine. Participating in occupational therapy will help with your independence in self-care task and educate on how to manage your diabetes, medication management, strength, and compensatory techniques for vision. Ok

Sam, as an occupational therapist I am going to assist with helping you return to independent and safe. There may be new ways learned how to perform task but with hard work we can accomplish your goals.
