- Jonathan Harker arrives to the town of Bistritz in hopes of landing a real estate deal to sell Count Dracula's residence. Upon arriving to the inn, he receives a letter from the Count himself, where he described the plan for him to get there. Before leaving the next day, Harker is ambushed by the townspeople who warn him about his dark fate if he does go to the Count's castle.
- The journey to the castle was like no other, the howling of wolves and what seemed to be blue lights haunted him and the coachman throughout the whole way, however, they finally arrived to the Count's residence which dreary appearance just made him more nervous.
- Count Dracula is a nice and proper man, he gives Harker a warm welcome to the castle, giving him a nice room and holding good conversation. However, Harker can't ignore the strange behavior the Count shows, like disappearing at dawn, his cold and pale demeanor, sharp ears and teeth, no reflection, and the fact that there's no one else in the castle.
- As days pass, the Count shows even stranger behavior, asking Harker to write letters for later dates where he says he is doing fine and staying longer than expected. He soon realizes he is a prisoner, and questions if he will ever see something other than the castle's dark walls again.
- Harker keeps having what he thinks are dreams where he is chased by 3 very beautiful woman, who constantly fight to see who can "kiss him" first. However, he soon finds out perhaps they aren't dreams.
- After being twistedly manipualted by the Count, Harker decides he's had enough and takes a bunch of the Count's gold as he heads for the exit.
