Storyboard Szöveg

  • Let us impart what we have seen tonight unto young Hamlet; for upon my life, this spirit, dumb to us, will speak to him.
  • POOF
  • The morning after the encounter with the ghost, we see Claudius, new King of Denmark, and brother to the late king, giving a speech to his courtiers informing them of his marriage to King Hamlet's widow, Gertrude. He expresses mourning and grief for his brother's death, but says that the marriage should bring delight to Denmark instead of just sorrow.
  • Ay, madam, it is common.
  • "Seems," madam? Nay it is. I know not "seems." 'Tis not alone in my inky cloak, mother, nor customary suits of solemn black, nor windy suspiration of forced breath, no nor the fruitful river in the eye, nor the dejected havior of the visage, together with all forms, moods, shapes of grief, that can denote me truly. These indeed "seem," for they are actions that a man might play; but I have that within which passes show, these but the trappings and the suits of woe.
  • Good Hamlet, cast that nighted color off, and let thine eye look like a friend on Denmark... Thou know'st 'tis common; all that lives must die, passing through nature to eternity.
  • Why seems it so particular with thee?
