- It’s Friday morning in home room, Darek told Amber about the party and without hesitation Amber said yes. She knew her mom wasn't going to say yes but she'd hoped with a little convincing from her dad, she would say yes.
- When amber gets home she goes straight to her dads office. Ambers dad is a bank manager so he's not home much which is the perfect reason he would say yes, he feels like he owes it to her. "daddy, can i go to this small get together at a friends house?""if your mother is okay with it.'' he says"well i was hoping you'd talk to her for me.' Amber said looking at him with puppy eyes, they always worked on him so of course he said he would
- Later on when Ambers mom got home she over heard them talking, and then yelling, and then her mom stomping up the stairs. She busts in ambers room"why do you think you can go to a party if you didnt even do your chores?'' ambers mom said tapping her foot in frustration "i mean i was going to do them when i got back" she says "no" and then she walks out
- Amber was sad she couldn't go to the party but she had a plan, she was going to sneak out for the party and be back before her mom even woke up. She had to wait till her mom was sleep when she slid quietly out the window and to her friends car.
- When they got back from the party and pulled up at ambers house she noticed a light on when everyone was supposed to be sleep. Amber went to her window, crawled back in, changed, and went to see why the light was on. It was her dad, sitting in the chair. "how was the party?""what?" she said in a panicked tone"im not gonna tell your mother, not if you don't"
