- A plane full of young boys crashes on to a tropical island. The pilot is the only one to not survive, leaving the boys alone on the island

- We can blow into this conch to gather all the other survivors for a meeting
- Great idea
- The fellow survivors, which includes very young boys too, attend the meeting. Ralph is voted as leader and Jack is voted to be in charge of hunting.
- Hopefully this fire attracts passing ships so they can save us
- The fire gets out of control that night due to the boys negligence. A young boy "disappears" due to it. Ralph realizes they must follow rules and be responsible to survive
- Jack, make and maintain a new fire to help us get off this island
- I'll make one, but hunting is my main priority
- GET HIM!!
- Jack and his group of hunters obsess over trying to kill their first pig. They are unsuccessful and do not worry about maintaining their fire like Ralph instructed them
- Jack didn't keep his fire going like I said. We're never getting off this island because of him!!
- Jack and his hunters get their first kill, and they can't wait to hunt again
- That night, the youngest boys are terrified and convinced that they saw a "beast" on the island
- THERE'S A BEAST!!!
- The following morning, Ralph calls a meeting to discuss what to do next to try and get rescued
- We need signals to alert passing ships so they can save us!
- You're not the boss of me! We should be hunting the beast instead! Me and my hunters are leaving your group!
- The hunters savagely kill another pig
- This time however, they leave its head in the middle of the jungle as a peace offering to "The Beast" they think is out there
- That night, despite the groups' disagreements, Ralph and Piggy attend Jack's feast because they need food too
- Meanwhile in the jungle, Simon is taking a walk alone
- He stumbles upon the hunters kill from earlier. Believing this to be "The Beast", he runs away terrified
- Simon runs out of the jungle and to the feast.
- Due to the darkness of the night, the other boys only see a frantic shape emerge. Believing it to be "The Beast", they attack it with spears
- The shore washes the body away
- When Simon is nowhere to be found the next morning, Ralph and Piggy realize the horrific thing they did
- We have to reason with Jack. We're all turning into monsters!
- We need to be civil, Jack! It's the only way!
- I am the leader now! I don't obey you!
- Jack pushes a boulder off the mountain and onto Piggy, killing him instantly
- Ralph runs away, while Jack and his hunters hunt him like one of their pigs
- Jack and his hunters set the island on fire to lure Ralph out to kill him
- A naval officer sees the fire from his ship nearby and arrives to rescue the boys
- What's going on here?
- The boys begin to sob over the horrible things that being alone on the island caused them to do. Their innocence is forever gone
