- Mother and Nooria placed things where they belonged to, and Parvana cleaned the broken glass, after that they all went to sleep. This made Parvana miss Father so much, and wanted to go to jail to see him, so Mother decided to go to prison with her.
- the next morning, Mother whose holding a picture of Father, and Parvana will go to prison, Nooria wrote them a letter. while they were on the road, Mother would show Fathers picture to people so they an let her carry on, this made Parvana flinch a lot.
- the prison was dark and ugly, that made Parvana so scared. but Parvana tried staying strong like Malali, but also for her mother. Mother went straight to the prison gates and was shouting to the guards to let her see Father, but they ignored her.
- Mother held Fathers photo to the guards, and more guards began to gather around them. over and over Mother and Parvana kept yelling their mission, until one of the soldiers ripped the photo into pieces, and kept hitting them with a lot of power.
- after the pain Mother and Parvana experienced, Parvana yelled: "well go now!", so she picked Mother up and headed to their house. Mother threw her self straight to bed, Nooria knew that she was depressed, so she just let her be while looking after Parvana.
