My Observations
Experiment:
Adding sugar and food coloring to water
Observations /
What I Notice
First, I filled the glass with cool water. Next, I poured in some sugar and stirred it. I noticed that the sugar blended in with the water and wasn't even visible. When I put the drops of food coloring in the glass, the color stayed at the top! I was surprised!
My Materials
1. a glass of water
2. sugar
3. red food coloring
My Question: Will the food coloring mix into the water?
Results
When there was sugar in the glass, the food coloring did not mix into the water. Instead, it stayed on the top. I think this is because the sugar acts as a barrier and the food coloring cannot get through.
My Hypothesis:
I think the food coloring will still mix in the sugar water.
