- Yes, This is A HIPAA violation!! All the doctors are at fault for this. The assistant proceeded to ask the surgeon, and told the assistant all the patient's information for her to tell her friend
- In order to correct this violation. Is that the assistant shared the patient's information so did the surgeon. The HIPAA rule goes to every medical facility and states that all medical information stays private unless they have permission.
