- Volcano
- Hello. I'm the first part of the rock cycle. I'm a volcano, who will erupt magma.
- Magma
- Hi! I'm Magma, and I will turn into a igneous rock after I've cooled down!
- Igneous Rock
- Hai! I'm Igneous Rock, and I will turn into Sediment when Weathering and Erosion bother me.
- The volcano is the first part of the Rock Cycle. When it erupts, it creates magma. Magma is a hot liquid made of molten rocks.
- Sediment
- This is magma, what comes out of the volcano. It is a BURNING hot liquid, before it cools. When it is underground, it cools very slowly. When it creeps up through the cracks in the Earth's surface, it cools very slowly.
- Sedimentary Rock
- Hello! I am Sedimentary Rock, made from all my cousins, Sediment. I am about to go through the one and only torturous heat and pressure which will last for years. When my torture is done, I will be a new rock.
- Hi, I'm Metamorphic Rock, and I am a rock that changed overtime. I have a lot of layers and forms on the Earth's surface.
- The Igneous Rock is made when Magma cools down. It is a hard rock, not easy to crumble and is a white - grayish color. When Weathering and Erosion come and break the rock, it turns into Sediment.
- Metamorphic Rock
- Yes, Sedimentary Rocks come from Sediment. When Compacting comes, it gathers all of the little pieces of Sediment and compacts it into a rock.
- Hi! I'm Sediment, and when Compacting comes I will turn into a Sedimentary Rock.
- When Sedimentary Rocks go through Heat and Pressure (AKA Torture) they turn into a new rock called Metamorphic Rocks. Before they transform, though, they have a Earthy color and some have holes or little rocks you can see.
- Metamorphic Rocks are formed when any different type of rock is exposed to heat or pressure. They have a lot of colorful layers, and a glassy appearance. They are also really light and and are hard, but can still break them.
